The National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) serves as the nation's advocate for 580 workforce development boards and job centers. We foster collaboration among workforce development boards, employers, job seekers, community leaders, and policymakers to drive sustainable job creation and economic growth.
Basic Functions
- Oversee all member renewal processes and systems, data, and reporting
- Co-create membership strategy to expand engagement and membership
- Actively engages with the members and the workforce development community
Specific Responsibilities
- Oversee membership operations
- Manage renewal and engagement systems, overseeing all communications, financial transactions, and tracking within the system.
- Maintain accurate membership records and generate regular reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with leadership to craft a membership strategy
- Co-create value propositions and member engagement strategies that meet members where they are and increase effectiveness across the network
Partner with communications, professional development, and advocacy teams to develop aligned approaches to engaging members and prospects

- Design recruiting strategies and campaigns to grow membership
- Serve as an ambassador for NAWB membership and lead relevant groups
- Build relationships with members and prospects
- Act as the primary contact for member inquiries
- Serve as staff liaison to the Board of Directors, Membership Committee, and Regional Liaisons
- Stay informed about trends in workforce development and membership strategy
Requirements and Skills
- Proven track record of 7-9 years driving engagement and growth a membership association or network
- Experience in workforce or economic development; experience with workforce development boards preferred
- Demonstrated experience in managing data, financial transactions, and reporting
- Track record of designing and executing programs, communications, and events
- Exceptional relationship building and communication skills, able to interact with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong project management skills, ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Collaborative team member, able to adapt within a changing environment
- Able to travel as required for events and meetings
Compensation
Salary range is $90,000 - $100,000 and is commensurate with experience. The package includes full benefits, such as healthcare, disability, dental, vision, and a 401(k).
