Workforce Advocacy Day
Washington Hilton/ US Capitol
1919 Connecticut Avenue Northwest Washington, DC 20009-5701 United States
Workforce Advocacy Day is a terrific opportunity to tell the story of workforce development in your community and to let Congress know how they can support our vital work.
The event begins immediately following The Forum on Tuesday afternoon, April 1, 2025, with a briefing on the key legislative issues facing workforce boards, and the messages that resonate most with members of Congress. Participants will then divide into state delegations to hone and coordinate our messages. The afternoon will conclude with a reception at the Washington Hilton.
On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, advocates will begin the day with a bus ride to Capitol Hill and a Congressional breakfast with guest speakers (TBD), followed by a day of meetings on Capitol Hill—arranged by NAWB—with members of Congress and/or their staff.
NAWB will provide online advocacy training and support in advance of the event and will provide all the materials needed. NAWB will also arrange your meetings on Capitol Hill with our partner, Advocacy Associates, who will provide an app that you can download to make your experience as simple as possible. No previous advocacy experience is necessary.
We hope you will join us for this event to educate Congress on the vital role played by workforce boards in serving their constituents.
Don't wait! Registration closes on January 31, 2025.
Registration for this event is separate from registration for The Forum.
